Tax and Financial Disclaimer

GigTakeHome provides an educational planning estimate, not tax, legal, accounting, investment, or financial advice.

Not a tax return

The calculators do not collect enough information to prepare a complete federal, state, or local return. Credits, dependents, age, blindness, capital gains, itemized deductions, withholding, prior payments, retirement plans, health insurance, business elections, and many other facts can change liability.

A positive estimate is not a bill, and a low or zero estimate is not confirmation that no filing or payment is required.

Mileage and expenses require support

Entering miles does not establish that they are deductible. You are responsible for business purpose, contemporaneous records, vehicle ownership or lease facts, method eligibility, allocation, and prevention of duplicate deductions.

Economic vehicle cost, tax basis, depreciation, and the standard mileage deduction answer different questions.

State and fuel values are estimates

State tax uses a disclosed broad planning rate rather than each jurisdiction’s return rules. EIA fuel defaults may be a selected-state observation or a regional proxy and can lag current pump prices.

Replace defaults with your records when making an individual decision.

Seek qualified help when needed

Consult an enrolled agent, CPA, attorney, or other qualified professional for filing positions, substantial income, multiple businesses, losses, mixed W-2 wages, depreciation, QBI limitations, prior-year issues, or notices.

Use official IRS and state payment channels. GigTakeHome never accepts tax payments or asks for tax-account credentials.
